The Spring 2021 speaker Series
As part of our vision for the online future of higher education, we also believe that students, unconstrained by any physical campus, should also be able to personalize their learning experiences. To this effect, we will be hosting live, virtual guest lectures from distinguished thinkers across a diverse spectrum of specialties and interests.
Mike Novogratz is the founder and CEO of Galaxy Digital. He was formerly a partner and president of Fortress. Michael served on the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. Michael serves as the chairman of The Bail Project and has made criminal justice reform a focus of his family’s foundation. Michael received an AB in Economics from Princeton University and served as a helicopter pilot in the US Army.
Jodi Picoult is a bestselling author of literary fiction, although many have called her books women’s fiction. She has written nearly two dozen novels, several of which have been made into movies. Her books are quick paced and controversial. She is the recipient of many literary awards and her books have been translated into thirty-four languages in thirty-five countries.
Balaji S. Srinivasan is an angel investor and entrepreneur. Formerly the CTO of Coinbase and General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, he was also the cofounder of Earn.com, Counsyl, Teleport, and Coin Center. He was named to the MIT TR35, won a Wall Street Journal Innovation Award and holds a BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Chemical Engineering, all from Stanford University.
John Stosseel is an American consumer television personality, author, and pundit, known for his career on both ABC News and Fox Business Channel. As a consumer reporter, he exposed con men and thieves, confronting them with hidden camera footage that unmasked their lies. He put some out of business, and helped send the worst of them to jail. He’s been called “the most consistently thought- provoking TV reporter of our time.”
Brad Walker is a two-time Olympian, nine-time USA Track & Field champion, and the American Record holder in the pole vault. He is a five-time USATF Outdoor Champion and his international acclaim includes gold medals at the 2007 World Outdoor Championships and the 2006 World Indoor Championships, silver medals at the 2008 World Indoor and 2005 World Outdoor Championships, and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Indoor Championships.
John Banzhaf is an American public interest lawyer, legal activist and law professor at George Washington University Law School. He is the founder of Action on Smoking and Health, an antismoking advocacy group. He is noted for his advocacy and use of lawsuits as a method to promote what he believes is the public interest.
Carol Salus is associate professor of art history at Kent State University. She teaches courses in twentieth-century American and European art history. Her professional interests include pop art, particularly the works of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
Keith Lustig is a renowned orthopedic surgeon in northwestern Pennsylvania and has over 38 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from George Washington University / School of Medicine And Health Sciences. He is also a highly-respected as a football coach.
Aviel Chaimovich is Professor at Drexel University. He specializes in computational algorithms for modeling liquid systems. Combining mathematical principles with artificial intelligence, his focus is on designing nano-technologies for purposes of water treatment.
Denis duNann is an entrepreneur who loves building companies from start-up to market dominance. Many companies talk about company culture but fail to cultivate it. His lecture will present the Cultural Operating Plan that all of his companies have used along with the Business Operating Plan.
